Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Owner’s Engineer to support the delivery of a major industrial project. Acting as the client’s technical representative, the role provides oversight across the full project lifecycle, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution by EPC contractors and suppliers. This position suits a senior project or delivery engineer with strong contractor-facing experience and the confidence to challenge, coordinate, and assure project execution across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the client’s technical representative, protecting project interests throughout execution.
Provide oversight across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Monitor project progress against schedule and budget, identifying risks, delays, and mitigation actions.
Review, challenge, and approve engineering deliverables, technical changes, and deviations.
Coordinate interfaces between EPC contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Support change management, variation assessment, and claims-related activities.
Ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and HSE expectations.
Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, and commissioning readiness activities.
Oversee contractor performance and support timely issue resolution.
Deliver clear, concise progress reporting and recommendations to project management.
Candidate Profile
Degree-qualified engineer or equivalent experience.
Strong experience in project execution roles within engineering, energy, or industrial projects.
Proven exposure to EPC contractor management and owner-side or client-representative roles.
Good understanding of project controls, change management, and risk management.
Confident communicator with strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, multi-discipline project environment.
