By using ship-crew.net (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms.

1) What Ship&Crew is

Ship&Crew is a job listing and notification service for seafarers. We may also provide a feature that lets a seafarer send an application email to an employer address shown in a vacancy.

Ship&Crew is not an employer, a crewing agency, or a party to any employment agreement between seafarers and employers.

2) Eligibility and accounts

You must provide a valid email to create an account.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
You must provide accurate information in your applications and uploads.

3) Job alerts

Alerts are sent only if you enable them in your profile.
Delivery is “best effort” and may be delayed or interrupted due to technical reasons.
You can disable alerts at any time.

4) Applying to vacancies (email delivery)

If a vacancy contains an employer email and you choose to apply via the Service:

Ship&Crew will send your application email using only the text and files you provide
You confirm you have the right to share the uploaded files and personal data included in your application
You understand the employer may store and process your email and attachments under their own policies

5) Prohibited use

You must not:

Upload malware, illegal content, or other harmful materials
Send spam or abusive applications
Attempt to bypass security, scrape protected areas, or disrupt the Service

We may restrict or terminate access if we detect abuse.

6) Content and third-party links

Vacancies may link to third-party websites or contain third-party contact details. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or actions.

7) No guarantees

We do not guarantee:

That vacancies are accurate, current, or legitimate
That you will be hired or contacted
Continuous availability of the Service without errors

8) Limitation of liability (MVP)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ship&Crew is not liable for indirect losses or damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed job opportunities, disputes, or employer actions.

9) Changes

We may update the Service and these Terms. The “Effective date” will be updated.
