Job Title: Senior Mechanical Static Engineer
Location: Paris, France
Employment Type: Full-Time (Office-Based with Project Interface Responsibilities)
Contract: 6 month renewable
Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Static Engineer to join a major engineering project based in Paris. This role will act as a key technical partner to an EPC Contractor, supporting the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions during the project lifecycle.
You will work closely with the EPC Contractor’s discipline lead, contributing to design reviews, technical evaluations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and classification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a technical partner to the EPC Contractor within the mechanical discipline
Work under the supervision of the EPC Contractor Discipline Leader
Prepare and review engineering documentation in line with project deliverables
Review Mechanical Package Technical Proposals and participate in technical clarification processes
Review and validate supplier deliverables for mechanical packages
Ensure compliance with classification society requirements and applicable standards
Participate in technical workshops including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and 3D model reviews
Typical Deliverables
Supply specifications and material requisitions for static equipment
Datasheets for static equipment and mechanical packages
Pressure vessel design calculations and validation
Engineering input into gas and water treatment packages
Technical Requirements
Strong knowledge of international standards, codes, and regulations (e.g. EN, ASME, API, and similar frameworks)
Familiarity with company-specific engineering standards (e.g. major operator standards)
Proven experience with:
PV Elite
AutoPIPE Vessel
Candidate Profile
Extensive experience as a Mechanical Static Engineer within Oil & Gas or energy projects
Strong background in FEED and/or EPC project phases
Experience working with or alongside EPC contractors
Solid understanding of pressure vessels and static equipment design
Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments
Strong communication and coordination skills
Eligibility Requirement
Candidates must have the legal right to work in France (this is a mandatory requirement)
