Coordinate all preparation activities, including procedures, resources, tools, consumables, vendor support, and manpower mobilisation.
Interface with contractors and project teams to ensure seamless integration of commissioning activities within the overall project schedule.
Review and approve commissioning documentation, engineering deliverables, and contractor submissions.
Oversee system definition, subsystem (SS) numbering, and preparation of limit drawings.
Monitor progress using dedicated tools and ensure timely reporting of risks, delays, and blocking points.
Lead on-site commissioning execution, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and schedule priorities.
Coordinate daily activities across multiple disciplines and stakeholders, including construction and operations teams.
Ensure compliance with company standards, commissioning methodologies, and safe isolation practices (SIMOPS).
Supervise database population and ensure proper tracking of commissioning activities.
Support and lead the preparation and execution of multidisciplinary Operational Test Procedures (OTPs).
Context & Environment This is a large-scale, technically challenging project located in a remote and environmentally sensitive area. Operations will take place in proximity to protected regions and populated communities, requiring strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
The project involves complex logistics, multicultural teams, and coordination with international contractors. Efficient execution, strong communication, and the ability to manage interfaces are critical to success.
Accountabilities
Provide technical leadership and support throughout pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
Anticipate and resolve technical or organisational issues across interfaces.
Ensure all safety prerequisites are met prior to execution of commissioning activities.
Liaise closely with construction teams and witness key pre-commissioning operations.
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and escalate risks or delays proactively.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 10 years' experience in oil & gas, with strong focus on piping pre-commissioning and commissioning.
