We are seeking experienced Welders to join our client’s SSCV, operating within 12NM of the UK.
- Start date: 28th August 2026
- Duration: ongoing 5x5 rotation
- Vessel type: semi-submersible crane vessel (SSCV)
Due to the vessel operating within 12 nautical miles, candidates must either be UK citizens or hold the right to work in the UK.
Certificates Required:
Passport
Panamanian Seaman's Book
Vaccinations (standard + specific per country)
BOSIET, including HUET, EBS and Crew Basket
STCW and OPITO approved health certificate
STCW Certificate of Proficiency Security Awareness A-VI/6-1
Rigging and Lifting Course
Fall Protection, Working from Heights, and Working in Confined Spaces training
Abrasive Wheel Course
Additional Requirements:
Valid Welding Certificate (Lloyd's or equivalent certifying authority) Based on SMAW in all positions (1F - 4F, 1G - 6G and 6 GR)
Updated Welder Qualification Sheet
Sound knowledge of welding techniques (preferably with heavy lift equipment/vessels)
Welding Safety training
Ability to read technical drawings/specifications
Experience:
Minimum 1-year procedure welding / fitting & repair of certified lifting equipment
