LNG Tanks Field Construction Superintendent - Mozambique
Location: Mozambique (Rotational)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Rotation: 28 Days On / 28 Days Off
Day Rate
We are seeking an experienced LNG Tanks Field Construction Superintendent to support a major LNG development project in Mozambique. This is a senior site leadership role overseeing construction activities related to LNG storage tanks and associated infrastructure. Reporting to the LNG Tanks Area Manager, you will be responsible for supervising EPC contractor activities, ensuring safe, high-quality execution through construction and into commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and monitor construction activities for LNG tank scopes
Ensure full compliance with HSE standards and promote a strong safety culture
Oversee contractor performance and ensure adherence to project procedures
Coordinate construction activities through to handover to commissioning
Review progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
Support development of execution plans and construction methodologies
Maintain strong relationships with EPC contractors and stakeholders
Ensure site presence and active oversight of construction activities
Support pre-commissioning and SIMOPS planning
Contribute to reporting, reviews, and technical assurance processes
Candidate Profile
Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline
10+ years' experience, including 5+ years at Superintendent level
Strong experience on LNG tanks projects (essential) or similar large-scale facilities
Background in greenfield LNG, petrochemical, or refinery projects
Strong understanding of construction execution, safety, quality, and scheduling
Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
Fluent in English (Portuguese or French advantageous)
