Instrument & Control Engineer - Dubai/Saudi Arabia
Location: Dubai, UAE (with frequent travel to Saudi Arabia)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Hourly Rate Contract
Candidates already residing in UAE/with UAE VISA will be preferred.
We are recruiting for an experienced Instrument & Control Engineer to support a major gas infrastructure expansion programme in the Middle East during the EPC execution phase.
The project involves significant upgrades and expansion of gas processing, automation, and transmission infrastructure designed to increase operational efficiency and support long-term regional energy demand. This role will sit within the Project Management Team and requires previous PMC/PMT experience supporting major EPC projects. You will provide technical oversight and engineering support across instrumentation, process automation, and control systems throughout EPC execution, construction, and commissioning activities.
The position will involve close coordination with contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Review instrumentation and control engineering deliverables across EPC packages
Support execution activities related to automation, process control, and shutdown systems
Participate in HAZOP and SIL reviews
Review vendor documentation and support FAT activities
Provide technical guidance on DCS, ESD, PCS, and field instrumentation systems
Support engineering studies, specifications, and technical evaluations
Interface with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
Ensure compliance with international standards and project requirements
Support construction, commissioning, and operational readiness activities
Candidate Profile
Degree qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, Process, or Control Engineering
10-15 years' experience in instrumentation and control engineering
Previous PMC/PMT experience essential
Strong background in:
DCS / ESD systems
Process automation
Field instrumentation
Hazardous area installations
Experience with HAZOP/SIL and IEC 61511
Strong EPC execution project exposure
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent in English
