Experienced Master Needed for Premium AHTS Operations in the North Sea
We are seeking an experienced Master for a modern AHTS vessel operating in the North Sea. This is a relief assignment with joining on May 20 and duration 1 to 4 weeks — ideal for candidates seeking short-term, high-impact work on a well-run platform supply vessel.
What You Will Do:
Command the vessel during anchor handling and towing operations in demanding North Sea conditions
Lead a professional deck and engine team with full accountability for safety and operations
Maintain DP station-keeping during critical offshore operations
Ensure full compliance with flag-state, client, and regulatory requirements
What You Need:
Deck Officer Certificate D1 (Master Unlimited or equivalent)
GOC / GMDSS — valid Global Maritime Distress and Safety System certificate
DP Certificate — Dynamic Positioning operator qualification
Valid STCW medical — offshore-standard health clearance
STCW safety courses — current and relevant to rank
Security Duties — STCW security training completed
AHTS experience — proven track record on anchor handling tugs/supply vessels
Fluent Norwegian — written and spoken (mandatory for client and crew communication)
Why This Assignment:
Premium North Sea operations — work with top-tier offshore clients on a well-maintained AHTS
Short duration, high day rate — 1 to 4 weeks with competitive offshore compensation
Fast mobilization — join May 20, no lengthy clearance process
Relief rotation potential — strong performance leads to repeat call-backs
Apply immediately via our website or direct email. Short-notice Master positions on AHTS vessels in the North Sea do not stay open.
