Company: WRS - Worldwide Recruitment Solutions Location: Tanzania, Tanzania Job type: Contract Salary: Competitive GBP / YEAR Posted: 2026-03-23 Central Control Room Supervisor, Marine Terminal Operations – Tanzania Location: Tanga, Tanzania (Site-Based) Rotation: 4 Weeks On / 4 Weeks Off Contract: 12-Month Renewable Rate: Day Rate (USD) We are currently seeking an experienced CCR Supervisor (Day/Night) to support operations at a major crude export terminal in East Africa. This role will oversee central control room operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance while coordinating closely with field operations, maintenance, and safety teams. Key Responsibilities Operations & Control Room Management Supervise and direct all control room activities to ensure safe and efficient plant operations Monitor process parameters, alarms, and system performance via SCADA/DCS systems Coordinate plant start-ups, shutdowns, and operational transitions Direct response to process upsets and abnormal operating conditions Safety & Compliance Enforce adherence to PTW systems, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements Lead control room response during emergency situations Promote strong HSE culture and participate in risk assessments and safety briefings Coordination & Communication Maintain continuous communication with field teams, pump stations, and maintenance Coordinate maintenance activities, isolations, and troubleshooting Ensure accurate and effective shift handovers Performance & Reporting Monitor operational performance and identify trends or inefficiencies Prepare daily reports, incident logs, and performance summaries Recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency Leadership Supervise, mentor, and develop control room operators Manage shift schedules and ensure team readiness and competency Maintain accurate logs and operational documentation Candidate Requirements Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Engineering or related discipline Minimum 12 years’ experience in oil & gas or industrial plant operations At least 5 years’ experience as a Panel Operator or Shift Supervisor Strong experience in process operations, start-ups, shutdowns, and emergency handling Familiarity with SCADA/DCS systems and control room environments Experience with Permit to Work (PTW) systems and HSE standards Strong leadership and team management skills Fluent English If you are interested, please apply
