Company: WRS - Worldwide Recruitment Solutions Location: Paris, Ile De France, France Job type: Contract Salary: Competitive EUR / DAY Posted: 2026-05-07 SURF Installation Manager Offshore Oil & Gas Project - International Assignment An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced SURF Installation Manager to join a major international offshore development project during the execution phase. The role will support the delivery of complex SURF installation activities associated with a large deepwater oil & gas development. This position is suited to a senior offshore installation professional with strong technical expertise in SURF engineering, installation, construction, and commissioning activities within large EPC/EPCI project environments. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all SURF installation activities across engineering, fabrication, offshore installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases Support the SURF Package Manager on all installation-related matters throughout project execution Ensure full compliance with HSE, quality, ethics, and operational standards across all installation activities Manage installation engineering studies, installation methodologies, schedules, and execution strategies Coordinate installation interfaces with drilling, FPSO, SPS, and other package teams Review and validate contractor technical documentation, installation procedures, schedules, and engineering deliverables Monitor contractor performance and installation progress, identifying risks and proposing mitigation measures where required Supervise offshore installation campaigns and coordinate company representatives onboard installation vessels Ensure constructability, installation feasibility, and operational readiness are fully addressed during project phases Participate in project reviews, technical workshops, partner meetings, and risk management activities Provide regular reporting to project leadership regarding progress, technical issues, risks, and offshore execution status Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Candidate Profile Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification Minimum 15 years' experience in major offshore oil & gas projects, particularly in SURF engineering, construction, installation, and commissioning Strong experience managing offshore installation operations within deepwater developments Previous SURF contractor experience is advantageous Excellent understanding of offshore installation methodologies, subsea systems, and project execution processes Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills in multicultural and multidisciplinary project environments Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on safety, cost optimisation, and schedule delivery Proactive, autonomous, and solution-oriented approach Strong communication and coordination skills Fluent English required Certifications Required Valid BOSIET Valid HUET Location & Assignment Residential position based in the Paris area initially Potential later residential assignment in South America with regular offshore missions during execution phase Long-term renewable contract opportunity This is an excellent opportunity to join a technically challenging offshore development project with significant international exposure and long-term execution scope.
